Granada Tourist Train

The Granada Tourist Train follows a route around the city centre. Throughout a journey lasting 90 minutes, the train makes a total of 12 different stops, allowing you to see the city's most iconic monuments. Admire the Alhambra and Generalife, the Monastery of Cartuja and the Granada Cathedral.

You'll also see important sites like the famous San Cristóbal Mirador, Plaza Nueva and Campo del Príncipe.

Throughout the route, you'll also be able to listen to recorded commentary in English and other languages, keeping you informed with interesting explanations about the monuments along your tour. Children under 8 years old will also enjoy the special kids' audioguide with fun facts just for them - what's more, they go free! Please note: you'll need to bring your own headphones to use the audioguide, or you may use those on board for 1.50 (US$ 1.57), paid on the day.

Please note that on and around public holidays, the operating times of the Granada Tourist Train may be subject to modification.

Ticket Types

When making your reservation, you'll have the choice between two different ticket types:

  • 1-day ticket: with this ticket, you can hop on and hop off of the tourist train as many times as you'd like within one day.
  • 2-day ticket: hop on and hop off of the tourist train as many times as you'd like over the course of two days.
     

Schedule & Frequency

The Granada tourist train operates from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm every day. The frequency is one train every 30 to 35 minutes approximately.

The train starts at 9:30 am at the Plaza Nueva and Alhóndiga stops. The last departures that make the complete route will be at 5:45 pm in Plaza Nueva and at 6 pm in Alhóndiga.

Bank Holidays

  • 5th January: 10 am to 3 pm
  • EasterPalm Sunday to Easter Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm. Easter Sunday from 5 pm to 10 pm
  • Saturday 4th May 2024: Due to the Granada Half Marathon, the service will end at 7 pm
  • 24th and 31st December: 9:30 am to 4 pm

    A - You can travel with a baby stroller as long as it's a foldable one. Once folded, they must not exceed the following dimensions: 35 cm x 55 cm. You'll have to put the stroller under your seat, so it must fit in this space.

    A - No. At the moment only wired headphones can be used.
