This hike, known as the Gollizno Route Trail will allow you to discover an incredible natural landscape in the province of Granada packed with history.
Gollizno Hike
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Plaza del Profesor Fontboté square. There we'll get into a minibus and drive for about 20 minutes until we reach our destination.
Upon arrival, we'll enter the Tajos de la Hoz, a natural gorge excavated by the constant flow of the water. We'll cross a small asphalt road towards the Velillos River. There, we'll have the opportunity to walk through a beautiful natural landscape following part of the path along the river.
At this point, we'll cross a suspension bridge offering incredible views of the surrounding area. Then, we'll continue with the route towards Moclín, a place that houses one of the most impressive defensive structures of the Nasrid era where we'll have the opportunity to marvel at the imposing Castle of Moclín.
After crossing the suspension bridge and the footbridges over the Velillos River, we'll arrive at the Fuente de Corcuela. Very close to this place we'll get to see some cave paintings that remain from thousands of years ago.
Finally, we'll get back into the vehicle and return to the starting point in Granada, arriving at 1 pm.
